News Modern Awards As of January 1, 2010 Modern Awards started operating to establish one set of minimum conditions for employers and employees across Australia who work in the same industries and occupations. There are 122 new awards that have since replaced about 1700 Federal and State based awards. Minimum pay rates and conditions at your workplace may be amended as of the 1st July 2010.
